On Monday, a Delhi court awarded interim bail until December 7 to Abhishek Gupta, CEO of Rau's IAS Study Circle, and its coordinator Deshpal Singh. This case pertains to the tragic deaths of three civil service aspirants in the institution's flooded basement.

Principal District and Sessions Judge Anju Bajaj Chandna mandated that Gupta deposit Rs 2.5 crore with the Red Cross Society by November 30. Under the lease agreement of the premises, Gupta, as the lessee and CEO, would bear full responsibility for any loss, claim, or damage.

The court provided bail relief on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh each, supported by two sureties of the same amount. The judge highlighted that while the basement was used illegally, civic authorities also failed to perform their duties. Investigation regarding the accused is nearly complete, with a charge-sheet expected shortly.
