Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara assured that important information has been gathered, although he declined to divulge details. The suspect, believed to be from West Bengal, has been identified but remains at large. Police Commissioner B Dayananda confirmed that multiple investigation teams are tracing the suspect's whereabouts.
Relatives of the victim discovered her maggot-infested body, leading to public outrage and demands for justice. The deceased's mother and elder sister expressed profound grief and called for severe punishment for the perpetrators. Authorities have intensified efforts to ensure women's safety in the city, implementing several measures, including the Nirbhaya programme and increased CCTV surveillance.
