The Border Security Force (BSF) on Monday neutralized an old, rusted anti-tank mine found near the Basantar river in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials reported.
The mine was discovered by a BSF patrol unit around 11 am, positioned between the Ballhar and Kamour border outposts.
The area was promptly cordoned off. Experts from the bomb disposal squad then destroyed the mine in a controlled explosion, ensuring no damage was inflicted, according to the officials.
