Man Arrested for Kidnapping Minor Girl on Marriage Pretext

Shoaib Ansari, a 23-year-old resident of Sadatpur area, has been arrested for kidnapping a minor girl from Madhya Pradesh under the false promise of marriage, according to police reports on Monday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (northeast) Joy Tirkey revealed that they received information from Madhya Pradesh Police about the abduction and promptly formed a team to locate the missing girl. After several raids in Sonia Vihar, Khajuri Khas, and nearby areas, they apprehended Ansari and successfully rescued the girl.
Further enquiry disclosed that Ansari had lured the teenage victim through social media, convincing her to accompany him to Delhi on the promise of marriage. Following legal procedures, the girl was safely handed over to Madhya Pradesh Police for further actions.
