Dramatic Pre-Dawn Encounter: Second Accused in Sultanpur Jewellery Heist Gunned Down by UP STF

The Uttar Pradesh Police have killed the second suspect involved in the Sultanpur jewellery robbery in a pre-dawn encounter. Anuj Pratap Singh was shot dead in Unnao after a gunfight with the Special Task Force. Singh had a criminal record, and police are still searching for other suspects.

In a dramatic pre-dawn encounter, the Uttar Pradesh Police on Monday neutralized a key suspect, Anuj Pratap Singh, involved in the Sultanpur jewellery store robbery, officials confirmed.

The gunfight took place around 4 am in the Achalganj area of Unnao district, involving the Lucknow unit of the Special Task Force (STF). Singh opened fire at the police when confronted, leading to a retaliatory response.

Police sources revealed that Singh, who had a notorious criminal past, succumbed to his injuries while his associate managed to escape. Law enforcement is stepping up efforts to apprehend the remaining suspects linked to the Rs 1.5 crore heist.
