In alignment with the Government’s vision to establish 100 new Sainik Schools across India in partnership mode, Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh officially inaugurated the Sainik School in Jaipur, Rajasthan, on September 23, 2024. The Ministry of Defence has approved 45 such schools in collaboration with state governments, NGOs, and private schools, with 40 schools already operational, including Sainik School, Jaipur.

During his address, Shri Rajnath Singh expressed confidence that the school will serve as a key institution for nurturing the patriotic youth of Rajasthan, offering them the necessary guidance and infrastructure to join the Armed Forces and serve the nation. He highlighted Rajasthan’s legacy of brave warriors like Maharana Pratap and Prithviraj Chauhan, whose valor will inspire the younger generation. The new school, he stated, will offer direction to students aspiring to serve their country.

The Raksha Mantri noted the evolving role of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, emphasizing that the private sector is playing a key role in driving the country's economy, particularly in agriculture, manufacturing, and services. He remarked that the new Sainik Schools embody this collaboration, where both public and private sectors will provide top-tier education to future generations.

Shri Rajnath Singh also stressed that education is a cornerstone of national development, and Sainik Schools play a vital role in shaping the physical, mental, and social growth of students. Beyond academics, these schools impart discipline, patriotism, and courage, fostering the all-round development necessary to lead the nation forward. Citing the examples of the current Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi and Naval Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, both alumni of Sainik School, Rewa, he emphasized that Sainik School students are not limited to military careers but can pursue any field of their choice.

The 100 new Sainik Schools will operate alongside the 33 existing schools and will be affiliated with respective education boards while following the Sainik Schools Society's regulations. These schools will offer an "Academic Plus Curriculum" that promotes holistic development through initiatives such as gender equality debates, skill-based training, community service, physical training, and motivational talks.

The Jaipur Sainik School, part of Shri Bhawani Niketan Public School, was established through a Memorandum of Agreement signed between the Ministry of Defence’s Sainik Schools Society and Shri Bhawani Niketan Shiksha Samiti in September 2023. Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Smt Diya Kumari and Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Col Rajyavardhan Rathore (Retd) were among the dignitaries present at the inauguration. This initiative aims to create well-rounded, disciplined citizens ready to contribute to the nation's progress, whether through military service or other careers.
