TMC MLA Nirmal Ghosh Questioned by CBI in RG Kar Hospital Case
Trinamool Congress MLA Nirmal Ghosh appeared before CBI officers concerning the rape-murder probe of a woman medic at RG Kar Hospital. Ghosh, MLA of Panihati, reportedly played a key role in arranging the hasty final rites of the deceased doctor. Three arrests have been made so far in the case.

Trinamool Congress MLA Nirmal Ghosh appeared before CBI officers on Monday concerning its probe into the rape-murder of a woman medic at RG Kar Hospital, officials confirmed.
Ghosh, the Panihati MLA of the TMC, arrived at CBI's CGO Complex office in Salt Lake around 10.30 am, according to sources.
"We had summoned him for questioning on the RG Kar hospital incident," stated a CBI officer.
Ghosh is believed to have played "an important role in arranging the hasty final rites of the deceased doctor," the official added.
The body of the postgraduate trainee was discovered with severe injuries in the seminar hall of the state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata on August 9. Allegations state she was raped and murdered at the facility.
Three individuals, including the former principal of the hospital, have been arrested in connection with the case so far.
