The incident unfolded on Saturday night when the cab driver, who works for a cab aggregator service, stopped at a Bhiwandi petrol pump to refuel his vehicle after dropping off a passenger.
After paying Rs 300 for his Rs 295 fuel bill, the driver asked for his Rs 5 change. This request angered the fuel pump operator and two of his associates, leading to an assault on the driver, authorities stated.
