In a sweeping bureaucratic reshuffle, the Rajasthan government has transferred 58 IPS and 20 IAS officers, according to a personnel department release issued late Sunday.

Several officers were given additional responsibilities. Notably, Additional Director General (ADG) for planning, modernization, and welfare Govind Gupta will now lead the jails as Director General. Anil Paliwal, the former ADG (Railway), has been reassigned to technical services and traffic.

Among other notable changes, eight ADGs and eight inspector general rank officials were reassigned, while new superintendents of police were appointed in Alwar, Bhilwara, Jaipur Rural, and several other regions.
