Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has ordered a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate alleged irregularities in the procurement of ghee at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). On Sunday, Naidu criticized the previous YSRCP government for altering procurement procedures, which he claims led to substandard ghee being used in sacred laddus, hurting the sentiments of millions of Hindus.
Naidu alleged that the previous administration had turned TTD board appointments into a gamble, appointing individuals without faith or those favoring non-Hindus. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the purity and sanctity of the temple's offerings.
The Chief Minister also announced the commencement of ritualistic sanitization at the temple and promised firm action against those found guilty. He reiterated his commitment to ensuring no recurrence of such issues and maintaining the sanctity of religious practices.
