Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has accused the previous YSRCP government of making irregular changes to procurement procedures at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). The CM alleged that the alterations included using animal fat in laddus, sacred to devotees of Lord Venkateswara.

Addressing a press conference, Naidu criticized the previous administration for appointing individuals without faith to the TTD board, likening it to a gambling exercise. He announced the formation of an SIT, led by an IG-level officer, to investigate the misuse of power and other irregularities.

Naidu emphasized the emotional impact these issues have had on devotees and assured stringent action against those found guilty. He also announced a ritualistic sanitization ceremony at the temple to counter the alleged desecrations.
