In a recent development, a joint search operation in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district escalated into an exchange of gunfire with terrorists on Sunday evening, according to local police reports.
A police spokesperson detailed that the operation, initiated near the Danna Dhar forest area in the remote sections of the Gurinal village within the Chatroo belt, led to a confrontational exchange after the security forces made contact with the terrorists.
In a related incident, a significant search effort entered its third day in the Chassana area of the Reasi district, following a gunfight on Friday evening, as part of ongoing counterterrorism initiatives.
