Ajit Prasad, son of Samajwadi Party's Faizabad MP Awadhesh Prasad, has been accused of kidnapping, threatening, and assaulting a man, according to police reports.
The FIR, lodged by Ravi Tiwari at the Kotwali city police station, claims that the incident occurred near the State Bank of India's main branch intersection in Faizabad City following a disagreement over commission on a land purchase.
Prasad, along with five to six others, allegedly assaulted, threatened, and kidnapped Tiwari. Ajit Prasad, who is also in the property dealing business, may contest from the Milkipur seat in a by-election, though official candidate lists have not been released. A detailed police investigation is currently underway.
