Police have apprehended three brothers for allegedly killing a shopkeeper who refused to sell them a tobacco packet, authorities announced on Sunday. The suspects, identified as Deepak, Tillu, and Mangu, attacked Rajveer Kashyap with a spear, causing his death on the spot.
The fatal incident took place late Saturday night in Kurthal village. The victim's family accused the brothers of being intoxicated at the time of the attack. Following the assault, the Kashyap community staged demonstrations demanding rigorous action against the culprits.
Circle Officer Gajendrapal Singh stated that three police teams are actively searching for the absconding suspects. To prevent further unrest, security has been intensified in the village.
