A former army man reportedly shot his neighbour to death in Sarupwal village, according to police sources.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vipin Kumar, stated that both the accused and his wife have been apprehended in connection with the homicide.

The deceased, Malkiat Singh, aged 65, was engaged in construction on his property adjacent to that of the accused when a quarrel erupted over the drainage system. In a fit of rage, the accused fired six shots from his licensed revolver, leading to Singh's death.
