Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo asserted that the recent sexual assault incident at Bharatpur Police Station is being politically exploited, promising that the guilty won't be spared.
He revealed that the BJP government has suspended five police officers allegedly involved in the case.
Singh Deo accused the previous BJD administration of neglect, while BJP state spokesperson Anil Biswal emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards such crimes. The case has now been transferred to the crime branch to ensure impartiality and transparency in the investigation.
