A brief encounter took place between terrorists and security forces in a remote forest area in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district on Saturday evening, according to officials.
The gunfight erupted when the forces initiated a search operation in Chatroo forest after receiving intelligence on the presence of terrorists, the security officials reported.
Reinforcements were dispatched to the location, with further information still pending, the officials added.
Simultaneously, an extensive search operation is ongoing in the Chassana area of Reasi district, where terrorists and security forces engaged in a gunfight on Friday evening.
