Mumbai Police Arrest Man with Illegal Firearms in Bandra

A 35-year-old man was arrested for the alleged possession of two country-made pistols and bullets in Bandra on Saturday, according to police reports.
Acting on a tip-off, Encounter Specialist Daya Nayak's Crime Branch Unit 9 laid a trap and apprehended the accused, Manoj Gopal Gaalipalli, from the Maharashtra Nagar locality in the early hours.
The authorities seized two country-made pistols and ten bullets from Gaalipalli, a resident of Asalpha village in Ghatkopar. He reportedly procured the weapons from an individual named Deepak, whom the police are actively searching for. A case has been registered under the Arms Act.
