Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant lauded the 'One Nation, One Election' electoral reform, noting its potential to bring stability and conserve resources. On Wednesday, the Union government accepted a high-level panel's recommendation for conducting simultaneous elections for the Lok Sabha, state assemblies, and local bodies in a phased manner, following a nationwide consensus-building exercise.
Sawant celebrated this move as a clear demonstration of the Centre's commitment to fostering national development. 'Bringing in & Implementing Reforms for the development of the nation is the commitment of the Union Cabinet led by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji,' he stated.
The implementation of these significant electoral reforms promises not only to offer more stable government terms but also to enhance efficiency by saving resources. Sawant expressed his wholehearted support for the decision.
