Kerala's ruling CPI(M) has accused the Congress-led opposition, BJP, and parts of the media of disseminating false information about the rehabilitation efforts in landslide-stricken Wayanad.

In a statement, the CPI(M) announced statewide protests to counter these claims, scheduling protests at district centers starting on September 20.

The state party highlighted that despite submitting a detailed memorandum to the central government for ₹1,202 crore in aid, no financial assistance has been received, which contrasts with the treatment of other states affected by natural disasters.
