Police in Kerala have taken two individuals into custody for allegedly coercing a woman to participate in a nude ritual. The accused are identified as Prakasan, 46, and the woman's husband, who faces allegations of being abusive.
The woman filed a complaint stating that Prakasan convinced her the ritual was necessary to rid her husband of an evil spirit that was causing marital issues. Sensing the deceit, she reported the matter to the authorities.
The arrests were made on Tuesday, and the individuals have been remanded to judicial custody following a court appearance, according to police reports.
