Tragedy in Mahoba: Man Allegedly Commits Suicide After Killing Daughter-in-Law

A 58-year-old man allegedly hanged himself after killing his daughter-in-law in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh. The daughter-in-law, Maya Devi, was found dead with severe neck injuries. The accused father-in-law, Gopal Kushwaha, was found hanging from a tree. Police suspect he committed suicide out of fear. A murder case has been filed against Gopal and his absconding son Ravi.

A tragic incident occurred in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh, where a 58-year-old man allegedly took his own life after murdering his daughter-in-law. The grisly scene was discovered when the blood-soaked body of Maya Devi, 32, was found on a cot in her home in Chauka village, according to Station House Officer Radheshyam Verma.

Deep injury marks were evident on Maya's neck, leading police to suspect foul play. The prime suspects in the case were her father-in-law Gopal Kushwaha and husband Ravi. Gopal was later discovered hanging from a tree, apparently having committed suicide out of fear.

In response to a complaint filed by Maya's father, Ramkishan Kushwaha, police have registered a murder case against both Gopal and Ravi, who is currently in hiding. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination as authorities work to apprehend Ravi.
