Domestic Dispute Turns Deadly in Virar

A domestic dispute escalated tragically when a 38-year-old man, Gopal Rathod, allegedly stabbed his wife to death in Maharashtra's Palghar district.
According to the Mira Bhayandar-Vasai Virar police, Rathod, who had a habitual liquor problem, attacked his wife Bharati following an argument early Friday morning.
Neighbors alerted the authorities, who promptly responded. The victim's body was taken for a post-mortem, and Rathod was subsequently arrested and charged with murder under Section 103 (1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
