Pakistan's Army Chief General Asim Munir, on Friday, reaffirmed the security forces' dedication to eradicating terrorism from the country.
During his visit to the Orakzai district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, General Munir interacted with soldiers involved in recent counter-terrorism operations in the Tirah Valley. The visit coincided with the provincial chief minister's announcement of direct talks with Afghanistan to address militancy.
The army chief received a detailed briefing on the security situation, ongoing intelligence-based counter-terrorism efforts, and measures aimed at stabilizing the region. General Munir commended the high morale and readiness of the troops, reiterating the resolve to dismantle terrorist networks comprehensively.
