In a significant drug bust, police in Shimla's Kotkhai area arrested three individuals, including an interstate drug smuggler, and seized 30.6 grams of heroin on Friday.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Kamal Acharya (46) from Delhi's Uttam Nagar, Suman Shahi (35) from Kotkhai, and Ranjan Sharma (35) from Dalsar village in Kotkhai tehsil.
The arrests followed a tip-off received by a patrolling police team about Suman Shahi's involvement in drug trade from her rented room in Kotkhai. Upon raiding her premises, the police discovered the heroin and took the trio into custody.
