Union Minister Suresh Gopi on Friday voiced his support for ADGP (law and order) M R Ajithkumar, who is facing scrutiny over a meeting with an RSS leader last year. Gopi stated that no one in the state is qualified to question the actions of the IPS officer.
While addressing an event, Gopi said criticisms have been pouring in from various quarters for some time, and he challenged the critics' qualifications. He denounced those promoting 'political untouchability' as equally criminal.
Gopi, who is also the Union Minister of State for Petroleum, Natural Gas, and Tourism, emphasized he has no intention to harm anyone but will not allow those trying to harm others to escape. ADGP Ajithkumar is accused of serious crimes, including phone tapping and gold smuggling by MLA P V Anvar.
