Fugitive Arrested After Six Years on the Run in Arunachal Pradesh Rape Case

In a major breakthrough, a man accused of raping a girl in Arunachal Pradesh was apprehended from Guwahati on Friday after evading arrest for six long years, according to the police.
A special police team successfully made the arrest, as confirmed by SP (Capital) Rohit Rajbir Singh.
The case involving the accused is currently under trial before the special judge (POCSO) in Yupia. The man, who allegedly committed the crime in 2015, had been on the run since 2018 after being granted bail. Authorities worked tirelessly, employing both technical and human intelligence to track down the fugitive, Singh said.
