The postal department is launching a new initiative to provide doorstep delivery of services for aged pensioners, enabling them to submit their digital life certificates (DLCs).

Starting from November 1-30, 2024, the campaign, known as DLC campaign 3.0, will take place in district headquarters and major cities across India. This effort follows a recent preparatory meeting held by senior government officials, including V Srinivas, Secretary (DoPPW), and Sanjay Sharan, Director General Postal Services. The campaign aims to streamline the submission of DLCs by coordinating with pensioner welfare associations, banks, and the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).

Pensioners will be able to submit their DLCs at district post offices using face authentication via Android smartphones. Additionally, the Department of Posts will offer doorstep services to further assist pensioners. The campaign will be widely publicized through banners, social media, SMS, and short videos, while UIDAI and MeitY provide crucial technical support to enhance digital empowerment and ease of living for pensioners.
