The Madhya Pradesh Congress has levelled serious allegations against BJP workers, accusing them of involvement in a distressing incident near Indore's Mhow, where two army officers were assaulted, and one of their women friends was allegedly raped.

The ruling BJP, however, has categorically denied these allegations, describing them as an attempt by the Congress to create a 'false perception'. The BJP emphasized the state government's sensitivity toward such issues and reassured that the accused in the Mhow case would face strict legal consequences.

According to reports, three out of the six accused individuals have been apprehended. MP Congress president Jitu Patwari claimed the involvement of BJP workers' relatives in the incident, calling Madhya Pradesh the 'most unsafe state' due to such recurring occurrences. In response, state BJP chief V D Sharma refuted the claims, stressing that the BJP does not tolerate criminal behavior and will ensure swift justice.
