The government on Friday announced an invitation for applications to fill two vacancies in the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC).

The NCDRC, a quasi-judicial body under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, is headquartered in New Delhi.

The Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs has specified that applications are to be submitted exclusively online, starting from September 17, via the portal jagograhakjago.gov.in/ncdrc.

The application deadline is October 16.

A search-cum-selection committee established under the Tribunal Reforms Act 2021 will review the submissions to recommend candidates for the posts.

Qualifications, eligibility, and terms of appointment are dictated by the Tribunal Reforms Act and the Tribunal (Conditions of Service) Rules, 2021.

Final selection will depend on the evaluation of candidates' qualifications, experience, and personal interactions.
