The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday conducted searches in Punjab as part of its investigation into the attack on the Indian High Commission in Canada by pro-Khalistan supporters, sources reported.

The anti-terror probe agency had registered a case concerning the incident in June last year.

Officials stated that the NIA is actively conducting searches in Punjab to gather further evidence in the case.

This case pertains to a protest outside the Indian mission in Ottawa, Canada on March 23, 2023. During the protest, pro-Khalistani supporters reportedly raised anti-India slogans, tied Khalistani flags on the boundary wall, and hurled two grenades inside the High Commission building, according to the FIR filed by the NIA.
