Mother and Son Sentenced to Life for 2019 Murder

A local court sentenced a woman and her son to life imprisonment for the 2019 murder of her husband. The motive was to secure a government job. Both were fined Rs 55,000. They dismembered and disposed of the body in a garbage heap. Charges were pressed shortly after the crime.

A local court has sentenced a woman and her son to life imprisonment for the 2019 murder of her husband.

According to Government Counsel Vimal Kumar, the court of Additional Sessions Judge Vivek Kumar found Memwati and her son Kapil guilty of murdering her husband, Tejram, and sentenced them to life, with an additional fine of Rs 55,000 each.

The duo killed Tejram, dismembered his body, and disposed of it in a garbage heap. Their motive was to secure a government job for Kapil as a peon at a local school. Police apprehended them shortly after the crime.
