Security Forces Nab NSCN(IM) Militant in Arunachal Pradesh, Seize Arms and Ammunition
A militant from the NSCN(IM) group was captured by security forces in Arunachal Pradesh following a tip-off, according to Assam DGP G P Singh. The joint operation involved Assam Police and the Indian Army. Various weapons and grenades were seized in the operation.

An NSCN(IM) militant was apprehended in Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday following a successful operation by security forces, informed Assam Director General of Police G P Singh.
The operation, based on a tip-off, involved Assam Police and the Sikh Regiment of the Indian Army and took place in Miao, Changlang district. Arms and ammunition, including two pistols and three grenades, were seized from the militant's possession.
Earlier in the day, the Assam Police and CRPF conducted another operation near Jyotioni village in Dibrugarh district, where they recovered two bottle grenades hidden beneath a tree. The DGP emphasized that these operations have stymied potential plans of violence in Upper Assam.
