Punjab Government Shakes Up Administration: Key Officer Transfers Announced

In a major administrative upheaval, the Punjab government on Thursday announced the transfer and new postings for 38 IAS officers, including 10 deputy commissioners.

The reshuffle sees IAS officer Showkat Ahmad Parray taking over as Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Bathinda, replacing Jaspreet Singh, who is now the state transport commissioner.

Significant changes include Sakshi Sawhney as the new DC of Amritsar, Preeti Yadav as DC of Patiala, and several others. Senior officials also received new roles, with some obtaining additional responsibilities.
