External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar announced that approximately 75% of the disengagement issues with China have been resolved. The primary concern now lies in the increasing militarization of the border.

Speaking at a think-tank event in Geneva, Jaishankar highlighted how the 2020 Galwan Valley clashes have significantly affected India-China relations, insisting that violence at the border cannot be isolated from overall ties.

While negotiations are ongoing, Jaishankar stressed that peace and tranquility at the border are crucial for improving bilateral relations. The resolution of the remaining issues is essential for returning to normalcy.
