Surrender of Top Naxalites Marks Major Win for Chhattisgarh Security Forces

In a significant development, four Naxalites, including two women, surrendered to security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Kanker district on Thursday, according to police reports.
The individuals, who had been involved in multiple violent incidents and carried a collective bounty of Rs 12 lakh, expressed disappointment in the Maoist ideology and cited the state government's effective policies against Naxalism as reasons for their decision.
Among the surrendered cadres, Sitaay Korram alias Surjanna, a Kuemari LOS commander with a Rs 5 lakh reward on her head, and Lukku Punem alias Naresh, a Kuemari area committee member, were notable figures. They, along with Sarita Sori alias Anju and Ganga Dirdo alias Sagar, will receive Rs 25,000 each and rehabilitation under government schemes.
