In a significant development, security forces on Wednesday recovered a substantial cache of arms and ammunition from a forested area in the Keran sector along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.

The operation, which was based on specific intelligence inputs, was jointly conducted by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police. The Srinagar-based Chinar Corps of the Indian Army announced the recovery via a post on X.

The discovered cache includes AK 47 rounds, hand grenades, RPG rounds, materials for Improvised Explosive Devices, and other war-like stores. The army emphasized that this recovery is crucial given the current security situation and upcoming events. The army further noted that this operation is a significant boost for security forces in the region.
