A tragic accident in Arunachal Pradesh's Lohit district claimed the lives of a police head constable and his teenage relative while another law enforcer sustained serious injuries. The incident occurred when their car plunged into a gorge near Dus Nallah in the Demwe area, authorities reported.

The victims were returning to Tezu after visiting a friend's house in Wakro on Tuesday. Tezu police station officer in-charge D Singhpo identified the deceased as Arunachal Pradesh Police Battalion head constable T Arang and his 17-year-old kin Aboh Wangsu. The injured officer, constable Wanjan Lowang, is currently receiving treatment after being referred from Tezu Zonal General Hospital to Dibrugarh in Assam.

Initial investigations suggest that Arang lost control of the vehicle on a sharp turn, causing it to skid off the road and fall 500-600 meters into a ravine. Lowang was found alive approximately 200-300 meters from the top, indicating he might have been ejected during the fall. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
