Senior judicial officers from the Diamond Harbour subdivisional court in West Bengal have raised alarming concerns regarding their safety and security. This follows an incident on Sunday night when an unidentified individual was seen loitering outside their residential quarters. The officers suspect the person's intent was to disconnect the power supply, thereby creating fear and disrupting judicial functions, especially after recent orders related to POCSO cases.

In a detailed letter to the registrar (Inspection-I) of the Calcutta High Court, District Judge Subhradip Mitra reported that the individual was observed within the Judges Abasan residential complex. This has led to speculations of potential collusion between miscreants and the local police. Additionally, the judicial officers jointly approached the District Judge of South 24-Parganas, urging for immediate actions to secure their safety and living conditions.

They pressed for the implementation of necessary security measures to allay their concerns and safeguard their work environment from any disruptions.
