North Korean leader Kim Jong Un announced a significant increase in the country's nuclear weapons stockpile, citing threats from the United States and its allies. The policy was revealed during a speech on the nation's founding anniversary. Meanwhile, Germany recently joined the U.S.-led UNC to police the North-South Korean border.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has declared a new policy aimed at exponentially increasing the nation's nuclear weapons arsenal, according to state media KCNA.
In his speech marking North Korea's founding anniversary, Kim emphasized the need to enhance the country's nuclear capability to counter threats from the United States and its allies. He stressed that a strong military presence is crucial to safeguard national security rights.
Kim also pointed to a 'grave threat' posed by a U.S.-led military bloc in the region. On Tuesday, South Korea will convene a defence ministerial meeting with the United Nations Command (UNC), which recently saw Germany join as a new member to help patrol the heavily fortified border.
