South Africa's Home Minister Leon Schreiber has issued a stark warning to Kamal Singhala, son of fugitive Ajay Gupta, about the possibility of his citizenship being annulled.
In an official letter, Schreiber demanded that Singhala explain why his citizenship should not be revoked, citing potential violations of the Citizenship Act.
The Gupta family, including Atul, Ajay, and Rajesh, have been accused of embezzling billions in South Africa through their ties with former President Jacob Zuma. The family fled to Dubai after Zuma's ousting in 2018, and their assets in South Africa have since been frozen amid ongoing legal battles.
