Union Home Minister Amit Shah will launch several key initiatives to combat cybercrime, including a cyber fraud mitigation centre and a web-based portal for data repository on Tuesday.

The initiatives are part of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) and will be launched at the organisation's first foundation day celebration.

The Cyber Fraud Mitigation Centre (CFMC) has been established with the participation of major stakeholders such as banks, telecom service providers, and law enforcement agencies, aiming for swift action against online financial crimes.

A new web-based platform, Samanvaya, will serve as a comprehensive portal for cybercrime data sharing and analytics, enhancing cooperation among various law enforcement agencies.

On this occasion, Shah will also inaugurate a special 'cyber commandos' programme and a 'suspect registry' to fortify the financial ecosystem's fraud risk management capabilities.

These measures seek to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a 'cyber secure Bharat' and will significantly bolster the capabilities of law enforcement agencies.
