Britain's foreign office has initiated three strategic reviews to bolster the nation's global influence, with results expected by the end of this year.
These reviews, directed by external experts, will evaluate the country's diplomatic ties, efficacy in aid development, and the alignment of foreign policy with economic and trade goals. According to Foreign Secretary David Lammy, the aim is to create a cohesive strategy that enhances the UK's global impact while fostering international growth and synchronizing development and diplomacy efforts.
The Labour government, which took office in July, stated that achieving long-term peace in the Middle East is an immediate foreign policy priority. Additionally, it seeks to redefine its relationship with the European Union and reaffirm its unwavering commitment to NATO.
