Woman Alleges Police Framed Husband, Claims Jail Death Was Murder

The 24-year-old inmate was found hanging in his cell at Mau district prison on Saturday, a situation that has ignited controversy. Ballia Superintendent of Police Vikrant Vir reported that the inmate's family has refused to claim the body.

Police officials, including Circle Officer of Mau Anjani Kumar Pandey, believe the death was a suicide but acknowledge that further investigations are ongoing. Meanwhile, the widow maintains that she and her husband had eloped and married, and stands by her claim that her husband was falsely implicated and killed.
