Tragedy Strikes in Manipur: Multiple Deaths Unraveled
An ex-serviceman, Lalboi Mate, was found dead in Manipur's Imphal West district, resulting from a suspected physical assault. In a separate incident, five individuals, including three militants and a village volunteer, were killed in Jiribam district following clashes between warring communities.

An ex-serviceman was discovered dead in Manipur's Imphal West district on Monday, police reported.
Lalboi Mate, originating from Motbung in Kangpokpi district, was found lying in a pool of blood in Sekmai. Locals identified the body in the morning and alerted the police. Police investigations suggest the man may have died from assault by unidentified miscreants.
In another incident, five people killed in Jiribam district on Saturday have been identified. Among the dead were three militants, one village volunteer, and an elderly man. One individual was shot while asleep, and the others died during an exchange of fire between two warring communities on September 7.
