BJP Youth Wing Demands Justice for Raped and Murdered Doctor

BJP Yuva Morcha activists demonstrated outside the Kolkata Police's north division office on Monday, demanding justice for a doctor allegedly raped and murdered last month at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.

Led by BJP leader Sajal Ghosh, the protestors urged the removal of Deputy Commissioner (North) Abhishek Gupta and Kolkata Police Commissioner Vineet Kumar Goyal, accusing them of covering up the incident.

The activists staged a sit-in after being stopped by barricades outside the office. Ghosh alleged that police personnel were acting as cadres for the Trinamool Congress and called for immediate resignations of the responsible officials. The body of the postgraduate trainee doctor was found on August 9, sparking nationwide protests.
