Manhunt for Gunman in Rural Kentucky
Kentucky police are searching for a suspected gunman who opened fire on vehicles on Interstate 75, injuring five people. The manhunt is complicated by rugged terrain, and a person of interest has been identified. Authorities warn the public to stay clear of the search area.

Kentucky police are intensifying their search efforts in a remote, wooded area for a suspected gunman who authorities say fired at vehicles on Interstate 75, injuring five people. Deputy Gilbert Acciardo of the Laurel County Sheriff's Office confirmed the rugged terrain has made the search challenging.
The manhunt, which includes a helicopter, drone with infrared technology, and planned search dogs, began after the shooting incident at around 5:30 p.m. local time on Saturday. Bullet-riddled vehicles pulled off to the shoulder as officers responded to the chaotic scene.
A person of interest, 32-year-old Joseph Couch, has been identified after authorities discovered a vehicle registered to him near the scene. An assault-style rifle was found nearby. Authorities urge the public to avoid the area and consider Couch armed and dangerous.
