Four individuals sustained injuries in a suspected animal attack in Uttar Pradesh's Swarajpur village, Behjoi area, police reported on Sunday.

The victims included Ram Beti (45), Maya Devi (60), and two children. Maya Devi's condition is critical, as part of her hand was severely bitten, according to District Magistrate Rajendra Pesia.

Authorities believe the culprit to be a jackal or dog, based on pugmarks found at the site. Pesia inspected the location and confirmed that forest and administrative teams were deployed to the area.
