Teen Girl Sexually Assaulted by Neighbor: Remains at Large

A 13-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by her neighbor in outer Delhi. The accused, who is in his 30s, fled the scene and remains at large. Police have launched efforts to capture him. The incident happened while the girl's parents were away. The victim informed her mother immediately afterward.

A 13-year-old girl in outer Delhi was allegedly sexually assaulted by her neighbor while she was alone at home, officials reported on Saturday.

Efforts to apprehend the absconding accused, who is in his 30s, are underway. He allegedly committed the crime when the victim's parents were not present at the house. According to the police, the man rented a flat in the same building and worked as a laborer.

The incident occurred on Friday afternoon in the Ranhola area. The accused reportedly threatened the girl with a sharp weapon before assaulting her. Disclosing the event to her mother, the child was taken to a hospital and later discharged. The accused has been booked under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Police have formed teams to capture the fugitive.
