Security forces effectively thwarted a deadly attack on a Frontier Corps unit headquarters in northwestern Pakistan, neutralizing four suicide bombers in the restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The attack occurred early Friday morning at the Mohmand Rifles Headquarters in Ghalanai town, near the border with Afghanistan, said the military's media wing, ISPR.

The four terrorists, identified as part of the banned Jamatul Ahrar group under the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, were eliminated before causing any significant damage.
